hello! meet ken, the khromophone maker!

I am a retired postal worker, who has studied physics and played a variety of musical instruments most of my life.  I am located in Elk Grove, California.  I began making instruments in early 2017.  The inspiration came from my love of another instrument, the xaphoon--a small nine hole reed instrument.  After several attempts to make a xaphoon out of bamboo with mixed results, I hit upon the idea for the chromatic whistle I call the khromophone.

I have developed several models with different note ranges and am excited to be able to offer them for sale.  Though I play guitar and several reed instruments, the khromophone has become one of my favorite things to play.  I hope others will also become fans of this awesome instrument.
